Building an ecosystem for the learning of PwID
Broadly these are the following sources of learning for PwID:
As discussed previously in the second post that various government schemes and initiatives that are being in practice for this community.
As against awareness not only government policies are important, but their implementation by such community is also very important. The same has not been implemented in India properly because of the fact that these community have articulation issues as they are not able to understand the things, which has become prime concern of their ignorance and societal acceptability. Thus the need of the hour is to create an ecosystem for them so that they can be developed and educated in basic aspects and their life.

Also in this regard, these days various NGOs are providing vocational training in the form of making them creative things like poster making and greeting cards. Thus, they are making them do Leaning by Doing (LBD) exercise; where doing in this case is whatever they imagine can be portrayed by them. Under this, we highly appreciate Chaanan Association of MR Children a parents organization started as a vocational training centre in Jalandhar. A smeek peek to the same is given as under:
